Knee replacement, clinically known as knee arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to correct complications with joint pain and functionality. Artificial joints (prosthesis) are devices used to replace the damaged components of the knee. Partial or total knee replacements can be performed by an orthopedic surgeon depending on the severity of the disease and its debilitating nature.
