Plastic surgeon performs two procedures during one operation

Individuals who consider undergoing a cosmetic procedure often have questions about the risks involved and what kind of recovery time they should expect.

Dr. Ashkan Ghavami, one such doctor, uses the excess fat cells removed during the tummy tuck to enhance the patient's buttocks, providing a natural, curvaceous look. Patients often awake from the surgery to find a flatter stomach and an improved posterior.

Also, by combining the procedures, patients have a quicker recovery time and don't have to worry about going under the knife once again. Dr. Ghavami also notes that by performing the two procedures together, doctors are able to secure the right fat cells for the augmentation.

Cosmetic procedures may leave scarring, but the use of silicone ointment may help diminish the appearance of those marks over time.
