New television show combines plastic surgery and a wedding

E!, the network responsible for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, has ordered a new series that combines a wedding competition with extreme plastic surgery makeovers.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the story, claiming the reality series will feature brides-to-be battling one another in wedding challenges in order to win a cosmetic procedure.

Each week the women will compete head-to-head in challenges that range from writing wedding vows to planning the perfect honeymoon. The contestant who wins gets to choose the surgery of her choice from her wish list. The procedure is done immediately and the results are shown on the following episode.

The last bride remaining wins her dream wedding and also reveals her new appearance to her groom and all of the wedding guests.

"Viewers will witness his emotional and possibly shocked reaction as they stand at the altar and he lifts her veil to see her for the first time following her extreme plastic surgery," the network said.

Cosmetic procedures come with side effects, one being scarring. Silicone gel sheeting may help diminish the appearance of marks that are the result of plastic surgery.
