New cosmetic procedures offer a more defined bottom

Two new cosmetic procedures are promising women perkier buttocks and a slim, defined waistline that will surely get them noticed, American Health and Beauty reports.

First is the Miami thong lift, which is somewhat similar to the Brazilian butt lift. The procedure involves having a patient's rear shaped with body fat instead of an implant that is used in traditional buttock augmentations. The scar from the surgery is located between the buttocks and can be hidden by a thong.

The next procedure is a Brazilian tummy tuck that offers patients a more defined and flatter stomach. The surgery combines a traditional tummy tuck and abdominal procedure, but offers more contouring and there is less risk associated with the procedure.

These two procedures are becoming increasingly popular in the U.S. and United Kingdom, and are considered to be the next must-have surgeries in the cosmetic industry.

Of course, like with any surgical procedure, scarring is one side effect of having cosmetic enhancements. The use of silicone gel sheeting over time may help diminish the appearance of any scars that are the result of going under the knife.
