According to Fox News, after complaining of a headache which Michaels described as "getting hit in the head with a baseball bat," the singer was rushed to the emergency room and underwent surgery. Neurosurgeon Nicholas Bambakidis told the news source that the hemorrhaging was most likely caused by a brain aneurysm.
Michaels also narrowly avoided a brush with death after being rushed to the hospital just a few weeks ago for an emergency appendectomy after complaining of stomach pains before a performance. Doctors later said that had the singer not opted to go to the hospital, his appendix could have burst while onstage.
Michaels is currently competing on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" and became famous from his days as the frontman of Poison and reality TV shows such as "Rock of Love."
Although Michaels is in critical care, it appears he will pull through. The two surgeries will leave scarring, which can fortunately be diminished through the use of silicone-based scar treatment products, such as silicone gel sheetings and ointments.
