Patients can have fat transfer for larger breasts

Cosmetic surgery is an ever evolving industry that introduces new procedures to help individuals perfect their bodies. The new tool for those seeking a larger bust without breast implants is a fat transplant.

Plastic surgeons can now take unwanted fat from the hips, thighs or other regions of the body, and use it to enlarge the breasts, making for smaller incisions and much shorter recovery time.

"Many women haven't been satisfied with their implants, or just don't like the idea of a man-made substance inside their body, for them, fat transfer is the answer," Dr Bill Johnson, Medical Director of Innovations Medical in Dallas, said in a press release.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons had been against using fat transfers for breast augmentations, but reversed their decision in 2009, finding it a suitable alternative to standard procedures.

For individuals who have undergone a cosmetic procedure, one concern they may have is in regards to whether there will be noticeable scarring. Luckily, there are have been recent advancements in the scar treatment industry.
