Mature women going under the knife in the UK

Plastic surgery firms in England have noticed a rise in patients ages 45 and older opting for some enhancements. Some are even having several procedures done over the course of a day, an option referred to as a TABBY.

A TABBY involves the tightening of the arms, breasts, buttocks and face, The Sun reports.

"Dating a younger partner can be totally rejuvenating, but it comes with added pressures. Mature women often feel more determined to retain their youthful looks than those dating a man of a similar age," Shami Thomas, spokeswoman of a plastic surgery firm in England, told the news provider.

Breast augmentation and tummy tucks seem to be the most common procedures being performed on patients who are over 45, according to the news source.

Women who have undergone a breast enhancement or liposuction may know that, besides the desired result of a larger bust and a svelte figure, they may also be left with scars.
