Facelift procedure that claims to be scarless

Cosmetic surgeons in Beverly Hills, California, claim they have been using a technique that makes a facelift scarless.

Traditional facelifts usually require an incision to be made in front of the ear, leaving a visible scar after the procedure. This new technique hides the incision inside of the ear, behind the cartilage, allowing patients to enjoy the results of the procedure with no indication that they had elected to have it performed, according to AmericanHealthAndBeauty.com.

"If you can see a scar on a face lift patient, it will always be in front of the ear, but why make the incision out there, when you can make it inside the ear - behind the cartilage where nobody can ever see it?" Dr Richard Fleming, one of the surgeons who uses the technique, told the website.

The procedure does take longer than a traditional facelift, because of how complicated it is, but most patients prefer having a scarless appearance afterward.

For procedures that do leave a scar, products like silicone gel sheeting may help reduce the appearance of the mark.ADNFCR-3015-ID-19923462-ADNFCR
