Young woman scarred after attack in park
Leanne Rowlands was walking through a park with her friend when she got into a verbal argument with a nearby couple. She exchanged some words with the couple and then walked away. They returned minutes later with bleach and began to spray her, Wiral Globe reports.
Rowlands and her friend were both sprayed in the face and upper body with the liquid, which began to burn their skin and eat through their clothing.
Both young women were taken to the hospital where they were treated after the attack. Her friend escaped with some skin irritation, which cleared up within a few hours. Rowlands suffered major burns and scarring as a result of the attack, according to the news provider.
Rowlands now has burn scars on her right breast and also suffered burns to her face, arms and legs.
Individuals who have burn scars may look into several different scar treatment products. Those may include silicone gel sheeting and ointment, which could help reduce the appearance of the marks.
