Young woman scarred after an attack from ex-boyfriend

The two fought and the argument turned physical when Barfoot pushed the victim up against a car, pulled out a knife and slashed her across the face. She now has a three-inch scar as a result.
"Barfoot has been given a significant sentence, which reflects the severity of his actions. This was a callous and needless assault, which has left his 17-year-old victim scarred for life," Detective Sergeant Chris Dovey told the news source.
The news provider reports that the young woman is trying to rebuild her life and move on from the attack. They also note that domestic violence attacks are taken very seriously and encourage all victims to contact their local authorities.
Scar treatment products like silicone ointment and gel sheeting may help reduce the appearance of scars that are the result of an accident, attack or surgery.
