Young man scarred after being hit in the face with a bottle
Santhosh Manivannan was returning home after a night out with a friend when they were approached a by group of young men and things took a turn for the worse, Deadline Scotland reports.
The group of men began to shout at Manivannan and his friend, and as he tried to place himself between the crowd, he was struck in the face with a glass bottle. It shattered, leaving him permanently scarred.
Robert Thorburn, the individual who threw the bottle, was arrested and charged with the crime. He plead guilty to the charges and awaits sentencing next month.
Manivannan now has scars above his left eye and on his left cheek, but didn't suffer any fractures or damage to his eyes.
The effects of a traumatic incident or attack may be compounded by the appearance of scars that may permanently mark the body. Scar treatment products, such as silicone gel sheeting, may help diminish the look of scars that are the result of an accident or attack.
