Violent attack leaves girls scarred

The Warwick Daily News reports that Emma was punched, kicked in the stomach and had her hair ripped from her head. The assailant had originally been convicted of assault, but had the ruling overturned and was instead fined $200 and given 6 months probation.
"What do people have to do for the law to step in? How bad do they have to be?" Emma's mother, Deslie Guy, told the news source. "Emma has emotional and physical scars, she's scarred for life."
Emma now has a scar beneath her left eye and is still waiting for her hair, which was ripped from its roots, to grow back. According to her mother, she is afraid to go out alone and will only go places with a male escort who can keep her safe.
Silicone gel sheeting and ointment are a few scar treatment products that may help improve the appearance of marks that are the result of accidents, injuries or surgical procedures.
