Teenager scarred in glassing attack
An 18-year-old young man has been left scarred following a recent attack following an altercation at a local bar, according to the Echo News.
The teen was with his friends when an argument erupted between them and another group of individuals. Those men were removed from the bar by bouncers, but as the teen and his friends left, they were attacked.
The young man now has 26 stitches running from his eye down to his lip. Doctors have given him some scar treatment cream and have said that over time the wound may fade.
It is believed that the group of men who attacked the teens were much older and that they had smashed a glass bottle before approaching the younger individuals from behind.
The father of one of the teens says that the hospital did a good job of closing the wound and made sure that it was done in a way that wouldn't result in an obvious scar, but he was told that the mark would have to be taken care of with the use of the treatments in order for its appearance to diminish.
Silicone ointment is a scar treatment product that also may help reduce the appearance of unsightly marks with use over time.
