Xeragel® (XSO-797) - $16.30Patrolman Gerald Veneziano is lucky to be alive after being shot six to nine times by a complete stranger who followed him for more than 11 miles as he was driving one even in January.
The Star-Ledger reports that when Veneziano confronted the man who had been tailgating him, the individual pulled out a gun and began to open fire at the policeman, who at the time was dressed in civilian clothing, but did tell the person that he was a cop.
"I was alone and scared," he told the news outlet. "I was worried that no one would find me. I knew I had been shot more than once, but I didn't know how many times."
Veneziano has recovered from the injuries sustained from the shooting. He spent a week in the hospital and then endured several months of physical therapy. There is a scar on his neck which serves as the only remnant of his ordeal.
Scar treatment products such as silicone ointment may help reduce the appearance of any mark that is the result of an accident or surgical procedure.
