Josh Bradbury survived a horrendous attack after he told another young man to stop kicking his fence, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Bradbury got into the altercation with Daniel Derwent when the young man began to kick in his fence and shouted obscenities at him. Derwent then picked up a sign and smashed it over Bradbury's head.

He suffered a fractured skull and doctors say he could have died or suffered major brain damage if the sign had hit him in another location.

"It didn't really hurt when it happened, so I was shocked to find out it had nearly killed me. The doctors said another big blow to my head could give me epilepsy and I still get bad migraines. But I feel all right now," he told the news source.

Bradbury will now bear a five-inch scar on his skull, but he is thankful that he is alive.

Visible scarring on the head, or other parts of the body where skin is revealed, don't have to be covered up with layers of clothing with the use of new scar treatment products.

Silicone ointments and gels may help diminish the appearance of the scar, and they are relatively easy to use and affordable.ADNFCR-3015-ID-19919939-ADNFCR
