Kieren Fallon's scar serves as a reminder of a serious fall
Kieren Fallon has lived his life as if it were a roller coaster at an amusement park, but the jockey is finally getting his life back on track, and he has the scars to prove it, The Mirror reports.
Fallon has been plagued with a number of demons throughout his career, including alcohol addiciton, alleged involvement with fixed racing and some minor scraps with rival jockeys, but he is now setting the record straight.
He said he is happy to return to racing and feels like a new man. He insists he is in great shape, and that his body has only suffered a few bumps and bruises, recalling only two falls over his 25 year career.
One fall was so serious that Fallon needed 40 stitches on the inside and outside of his cheek, leaving him with a visible scar. He still maintains that his relationship with horses couldn't be better.
Fallon may have erased the severity of his falls mentally, but the large scar on his cheek will always serve as a reminder.
Silicone ointment and gels are affordable products that assist in masking scars, helping individuals regain the self-confidence they may have lost due to unsightly marks.
