New technique allows surgeons to fix botched eye lifts

After spending thousands of dollars and undergoing surgery and recovery time, patients want to be satisfied with the results of their plastic surgery. But botched surgeries and scarring can leave some patients disliking their new appearance more than their old one.

Scarring can be treated quickly and easily with the use of silicone ointments and gels. And now, a new technique is allowing surgeons to fix eye lift surgery gone wrong.

Eye lifts are increasingly popular and ranked among the top three procedures performed in 2009, according to the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Yet patients frequently cite hollowed eyes and an unnatural eyelid shape as reasons behind their unhappiness.

Dr. Andrew Jacono has developed a minimally invasive technique that pulls scar tissue out of the eyelid, saying it gives patients the "youthful appearance they were originally seeking."

If patients are still looking for that youthful appearance but feel marred by scarring, they should consider silicone-based scar treatment products. Silicone works with the body's natural biochemistry in order to effectively diminish scars.ADNFCR-3015-ID-19784955-ADNFCR
