French brothers show plastic surgery gone wrong

Used in careful consideration, plastic surgery can leave patients looking younger, feeling more confident and achieving the appearance they desire, provided that they use silicone ointments to mask any resulting scars. But two French actors recently showed what can happen when people go overboard with facial surgery while appearing at the Cannes Film Festival.

Igor and Grichcka Bogdanoff shot to fame in France with a primetime science-fiction series. Now, nearing 60, the two are nearly unrecognizable compared to photos from their past. With elongated faces, overly plump lips and cheeks, facial implants, and what appear to be frozen smiles from Botox, the UK Daily Mail quipped that the brothers "look more like the alien life forms they used to report on."

Stars like Heidi Montag have been reported in the news as being addicted to plastic surgery, undergoing many procedures at a time and ruining their natural looks. Patients considering plastic surgery need to consider the effects that multiple procedures will have on their bodies, as well as the multitude of scars that develop.

The goal of plastic surgery is to ultimately look better. But too many plastic surgeries end up marring the appearance.

Hypertrophic scars that can develop post-surgery are another problem that can affect one's appearance negatively. However, scars of this type have been proven to respond to silicone-based scar treatment products.ADNFCR-3015-ID-19788116-ADNFCR
