Bachelor party antics leaves one man with permanent facial scars
A wild bachelor party in Darwin, Australia, has culminated in a permanent facial scar for one attendee, who was injured by a flying bullet-shaped erotic toy, The Courier Mail reports.
Jure Skumavc, 31, was celebrating his friend's impending marriage when he was hit in the face with a large object. An exotic dancer who had been hired for the occasion was performing a party trick that involved shooting sex toys at the guests, one of which left Skumavc with a split forehead.
"It wasn't a strong shot. It probably just landed on an awkward sort of angle," he told the news source. "She was shooting it through the room from one corner to the other. Other people got it in their chest and knees. I was the only one bleeding."
He added that the toy - which measured about five inches in length - had flown a distance of more than 20 feet across the room.
When facial injuries occur, it may be important to check for head injuries as well, according to WebMD. In addition to bruising and swelling, victims who experience vision loss or tingling in the face may require prompt medical attention.
Those who have sustained scars from such injuries may find that silicone ointment can help reduce the appearance of these marks.
