Angry drunk attacks fellow nightclubber, leaving him with scars

A phone salesman has been ordered to pay a considerable fine after punching and kicking another man in a nightclub.

Martin Bance pleaded guilty to assault for allegedly beating Colin Power in a drunken rage after being jostled on the crowded dance floor. The attack left Power with a scar above one of his eyes, headaches, blurred vision and loose teeth.

"Everyone who goes to nightclubs knows that there is the possibility of being jostled. You don't just turn around and hit out," said Judge Mary Fahy, quoted by the news source. "If he can't bear people bumping into him, he should not be going into clubs."

Officials concluded that Bance has an anger problem that may be compounded by alcohol and crowded places. He was ordered to pay a fine to Power, who said that he was forced to spend hundreds on treatment for his injuries.

Alcohol consumption can often lead to aggressive behavior, according to AtHealth.com. Approximately 42 percent of violent crimes that are reported to police have involved alcohol.

Individuals who experience such incidents can benefit from the use of silicone gel sheeting to reduce the appearance of any scars that they have sustained.
