Barbara Walters returns to The View and shows off scar

Television veteran Barbara Walters underwent heart surgery in May and has not appeared on the set of The View except for President Obama's appearance in July. She returned to television just in time for the premiere of the talk show's 14th season, The Huffington Post reports.

Walters took her usual place at the table with the other women, and briefly spoke about her surgery, promising more details on upcoming shows. She also showed of her small scar, which many had a hard time finding in the first place.

"If you want to see my scar, you are looking at it," she told the panel and studio audience.

Walters did note that there was a little makeup on it, but said that even without makeup the mark is difficult to see unless very close.

Surgical procedures like heart surgery may often leave behind a scar indicating where incisions were made.

Scar treatment products like silicone ointment or gel sheeting may help reduce the appearance of scars that are the result of surgical and cosmetic procedures.ADNFCR-3015-ID-19936900-ADNFCR
