Action movies can make for an immensely physical production. Perhaps no one knows that better than English actress Gemma Arterton, the 24-year old starlet best known for her portrayal of MI6 agent Strawberry Fields in the 2008 film the Quantum of Solace. In her newest role as Lo in the modern remake of the Clash of the Titans, the young starlet opted to perform her own stunts - a decision that proved to be a scarring experience.

The red-haired screen siren, like many members of the principal cast, endured a very physically demanding shoot and emerged with more than just memories from the process.

"I have scars on my knees. I'm the tough girl," she told Hollywood.com. "We were inside a crater in the volcano so the terrain was gravel and every time I fell over I was covered in wounds. But I loved doing my own stunts."

Arterton is no stranger to scars, having undergone surgery as a child to remove extra digits from her hands, according to NOW magazine.

As an actress, physical appearance is very important for Arterton. As such, she may want to invest in scar treatments like silicone ointment to reduce the appearance of scars on her hands and knees.ADNFCR-3015-ID-19703845-ADNFCR
