Women opting for breast implant reduction

More women may be choosing to have their breast implants reduced, finding that a large bust may not be beneficial to their overall health, and instead are going for a more natural look, FOX 9 reports.

Plastic surgeon Dr Daniel Shapiro told the news source that he has seen more women coming in to have their large breast implants removed, and replaced with a more natural cup size.

"If you look at fashion and music, that kind of dictates what happens. I think people are starting to look more proportioned and the Pam Anderson look isn't so popular anymore," he told the news provider.

Melissa Rein was 20 years old when she underwent a breast augmentation and came out with large D cup breasts. She has since downsized to a C cup, saying that the larger breasts made simple activities, like exercise, difficult.

"My back has hurt, and people have poked me and said why do you stand like that, and I say my breasts are heavy. You'd be surprised how much I lean forward and now I don't have that problem anymore," she told the news outlet.

Cosmetic procedures may leave behind a scar, but products like silicone ointment may help diminish the appearance of the mark.ADNFCR-3015-ID-19935589-ADNFCR
