Woman with world's largest breast has them removed

Sheyla Hershey was the proud owner of M cup breast implants, and held the title of world's largest breasts, but recently had them removed after doctors told her they were killing her.

Fox Houston reports that the Texas mom had contracted a staph infection after a recent breast implant surgery that doctors told her was close to entering her bloodstream, which would be potentially fatal.

Hershey underwent two preliminary procedures to help drain out the infected areas before doctors could go in and remove the implants. She was also placed on three different antibiotics to help control the bacteria, and also had to live the last few months using a vacuum in the specific areas where the infection was present.

She decided that it would be in the best interest of her health and her family to have the large implants removed and go back to an average size.

"I decided to go smaller - a lot smaller. I just want a normal size like a housewife has," she told the news source.

Cosmetic procedures involve many incisions which may lead to scarring, but products like silicone gel sheeting may help reduce the appearance of the marks over time.
