New breast augmentation procedure appears promising

Cosmetic surgery has come a long way over the last few decades, with new procedures being introduced to the public that have revolutionized the industry. Plastic surgeons in Phoenix, Arizona, are using a new method during breast augmentation procedures.

The new procedure, referred to as a subfascial breast augmentation, places the implant in front of the pectoral muscle instead of behind it or behind the breast tissue like it is done in other augmentation procedures.

"The results tend to look and feel more natural and there is the added benefit that patients seem to experience much less discomfort after surgery," says board-certified plastic surgeon Dr Remus Repta.

Many cosmetic surgery procedures have become so advanced that surgeons are now able to do full procedures and only leave minimal scarring, if any at all. Of course, everyone's body reacts differently and plastic surgeons may be able to hide scars, but breast augmentation procedures will still leave some scarring.
