Heidi Montag's plastic surgery to be centerpiece of final season of 'The Hills'

Facing sinking rankings and a dejected cast, MTV has announced that the upcoming sixth season of the channel's hit semi-scripted reality show 'The Hills' will be its last. The final 12 episodes will wrap up the series by following the recent events of their lives, including Audrina Patridge's new romance, Kristin Cavallari's alleged drug abuse and Heidi Montag's numerous plastic surgeries.

MTV has confirmed that the season premier will capture the moment when the flaxen-haired starlet unveils her new surgically altered physique to her mother. Montag underwent no less than 10 elective cosmetic procedures including a brow lift, a nose job, liposuction, a chin reduction and breast augmentation.

"We tell the whole story," creator Adam DiVello recently told MTV.com. "We pick right up where Heidi goes and sees her parents. And our cameras are there that minute the mother opens the door and sees her daughter for the first time."
